Our ARTERRA Cacao
The sacred cacao is carefully cultivated in agroforestry in the north-east of Guatemala. This means that different varieties of maize, vegetables, cacao and trees are grown together in order to avoid end-mineralization of the soil. Based on the natural structure of the rainforest, it is one of the most sustainable cultivation methods in which animals, people and ecosystems are protected and preserved.
You can think of it as a forest bursting with biodiversity. With every cup of cacao you contribute to the preservation of the ecosystem.
Contains no pesticides or chemicals.
The sacred cacao is ground and processed by hand in the traditional Mayan way. This ensures consistently high quality. The farm we work with has set itself the task of protecting and preserving original Criollo varieties.
